Very nice ambience and good food. But unfortunately there is still room for improvement in terms of service.

At first glance the place looks really good, unfortunately the food can keep up with the taste. The soups for the starter were completely watered down in taste, there were no side dishes in the soup. I could have dissolved broth powder in water, it would have tasted the same. We ordered crispy schnitzel for the main course, but they weren't even crunchy. Probably it was 10am tomorrow, but in the evening there was nothing to be felt while eating. Unfortunately the waiter was also very rude and made you feel unwanted. If you allow yourself the reaction of the operator here, bad reviews are not welcome and will not be taken to heart, but you will be insulted as a guest. I can only advise everyone not to eat here, I also think that many reviews have been bought so that the place looks better than it really is.

Stayed with friends from Switzerland for dinner. Was super tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. The menu is as varied as the range of drinks on offer and if you like local Irish beer as well as local beer, this is the place for you. The restaurant is not only iconic - it is also furnished in a rustic style. Good thing we had ordered in advance, because even on Tuesday the beautifully located beer garden was full. All in all - rating recommended - our friends were also thrilled. We will of course come back! By the way - the landlord also rents two ingenious and comfortably furnished holiday apartments in the old walls that were once part of the city fortifications!

The staff is absolutely listless. The food has the character of a canteen. The food for the child noodles with meatballs. The dumplings taste as if the tomato sauce was ketchup. Schnitzel true lukewarm, breading soft champions from the can and gray. My plate was chipped on the edge. I can not understand the good reviews, for me the worst restaurant in Zittau.

We ate here on Friday night. A really nice place in an old roundabout of the city fortifications. You can eat on two floors in a rustic, historic setting. If you don't want to eat indoors, you are in good hands in the well-shaded beer garden under old trees. The selection on the menu is good and balanced. The beer selection is also decent. Hackepeter is also part of the map. Finding a hackepeter on the map these days is rather a rare pleasure. So some beers, seasoned meat and minced meat were ordered. The service came reliably, but unfortunately rather demotivated. The seasoned meat came quickly, but unfortunately it was a first disappointment. Bland boiled pork in an unbound boullion came under a thick cheese coat. This is not how a seasoned meat should look, especially in the east of the Republic. Unfortunately, the minced meat came clearly after the seasoned meat, so that one of the accompanying people got a good 20 minutes after the first. The chopping peter was good, plentiful and classic with egg, onions and mustard. There was nothing wrong with the taste. Unfortunately, the evil awakening came a few hours later in the form of a veritable food poisoning. One of the reasons why Hackepeter has disappeared from so many cards. So cobbler stay with your lasts. Dear team from the Kulturuhr ... take the Hackepeter off the menu, because your other main dishes are good!

The cult watch is always great. The food is great and then a Murphys. What more do you want?

Alright for a beer or two

The best locality Zittau currently has !!! We were completely satisfied! Great service, delicious and plentiful food, cozy atmosphere. What more do you want?

Perfect ?, well suited for family celebrations, were here for dinner for the birthday, nimble, friendly service, large selection of drinks, delicious, very appetizing food, small special requests are met by the kitchen staff, it was a thoroughly successful evening ... Must also be mentioned: sanitary facilities very clean?

Location is cozy and invites you to linger for humid evenings. The food is more functional - a special taste explosion is not to be expected. Otherwise, a great atmosphere right next to the Zittau flower clock.

This place is amazing, and I'm a little embarrassed to confess that I came here 3 nights in a row. I would've come again if I hadn't had to leave. I curse the train that dragged me from this restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the Bauernfrühstuck was intimidatingly huge. Every dish was great, and great value for money. Who'd have thunk that GDR food could be so lecker? Epilogue: I also enjoyed the beer, and the cool waitresses.
